This Dressmaking for Beginners Course is structured to teach you all you need for garment construction and start the journey to creating your dream wardrobe.

This course will take you through the very basic elements of fabric selection, getting to know your sewing machine and how to begin expanding and pimping your wardrobe by sewing your own clothing, or clothing for your family/business.
Your first project will be to stitch together a couple of simple projects like pillowcases, head scarves, kitchen clothing items, tote bag etc. Here you'll learn most of the basic elements of how to run stitches and put pieces together. After that you will learn how to sew a simple jacket, tops and different neck line styles. Then you will complete your wardrobe by learning how to add fullness with pleats and gathers, the ins and outs of simple skirts construction that includes darts, overlap, buttons, and buttonholes, ending with the creation of dresses.
Once you finish this course, you will be able to custom make outfits to your body, choose the correct fabrics, and stitch together garments that you like and that fit you well.

Folashade and Wonderfull are both experienced pattern makers and dressmakers. They have been in the dressmaking and designing business for 14 years combined.
Besides being a wife and a mom to two children, Folashade is an entrepreneur & also fully engaged during the day. Still, she's still able to engage with her students adequately to help them achieve their dressmaking goals. She loves spending time with her family when she isn't sewing.
Wonderfull thoroughly enjoys teaching. Some of her best moments come when students send in their heart warming testimonials. Asides teaching, she also enjoys gardening & writing. (Lifestyle blogging...someday). Her chill time is spent dancing at home, catching up on movies and travelling.
